Registration Deadlines for 2016

By law, the deadline to register to vote or make registration changes is 30 days before an election (ORC 3503.19). 

 

Registrations for the March Primary election must be dropped off to our office or post marked no later than February 16, 2016.

 

Registrations for any August Special election must be dropped off to our office or post marked no later than July 5, 2016.

 

Registrations for November General must be dropped off to our office or post marked no later than October 11, 2016.

Want us to mail you a request for an absentee ballot for the March 15, 2016 primary? Make your request by clicking here  or by calling us at (614) 525-3100 and selecting option 1 and then option 3.

Want to print a request from your computer? Print by clicking here, or go to the absentee voting page by clicking here . You can also select On Behalf of Someone Else to complete the form manually.

Once the form has been filled out, be sure to include your personal identification information, sign the form and mail it to:

Important Points to remember:

  • Your request to be mailed an application for an absentee ballot must be received by Wednesday, March 9.
  • Your request for an absentee ballot must be received in our office by noon, Saturday, March 12.
  • Absentee ballots may be returned by mail on in person.  Mailed in ballots must be postmarked no later than Monday, March 14. Ballots returned in person may be dropped off at our office until 7:30 p.m. on Election Day.
